Job Description
Project Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver better trained sailors to the front line faster.
This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro ratad and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What youll be doing
- Delivering classroom instruction to groups of up to 24 trainees in: Electronic engineering and electrical machine principles (NVQ Level 4/5) and Basic electronics and mathematics (Level 2/3)
- Conducting practical lab sessions demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments
- Administering and invigilating both paper-based and online examinations
- Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintaining and updating training materials
- Collaborating with Training Design staff to align content with DSAT standards and submit updates for approval
What were looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- You will have at least a Foundation Degree in Electronic Engineering (or a related engineering discipline) or an HND/FdSc in Electronic Engineering or proven teaching/practical experience in Electronic Engineering
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Experience in the theory and practical use of Electronic Machines
- Classroom experience in teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment ideally with at least a Level 4 teaching qualification.
- Experience of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (or equivalent).
About Selborne
Selborne is a wide scale 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK Fujitsu and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
