Job Description
Work Flexibility: Onsite
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Responsible for coordinating sourcing needs for new product development projects including completion of supplier selection & management regularly reporting material costs and defining final material logistics. Acts as liaison for all sourcing activities to Design Advanced Operations and Project Transfer teams.
- Coordinate smooth post launch material flow for Operations
- Other tasks/responsibilities assigned by the line manager
- Quality First
- Communicate print revision changes to suppliers through design process
- Drive First Article deliveries ensure closure in a timely fashion
- Build the bridge between Stryker and supplier technical personnel to ensure Design for Manufacturability/Assembly considerations are incorporated into new products.
- Customer Experience
- Support timely where buy analysis after Make v. Buy decision complete

- Ensure accurate BOM maintenance cost tracking
- Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of engineering builds prototypes FAI and V&V material
- Coordinate supply chain activities between R&D and Strategic Sourcing through the new product development cycle.
- Financial Results
- Coordinate with key stakeholders through forecasting NPD Quality performance to drive and govern the suppliers cost effectiveness
- Communicate complete product costs versus target costs maintain design and process change highlights to costs.
- Engage Sourcing Engineer Strategic Sourcing and/or design teams for continuously cost optimization.
- Innovation
- Investigate analyze and develop new suppliers to bring a world class medical device supply base to the organization.
- Partner with suppliers to ensure the latest technological innovations are incorporated into our product and process designs.
People Development
- Builds constructive relationships with cross-functional teams to produce reliable and consistent deliverables from suppliers.
- Builds engaging networks within Sourcing and Operations.
Applicable for Senior Position:
- Ownership of overall supplier performance improvement (Quality Cost TTM) by commodities
- Lead PPV initiatives to deliver cost reductions
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
REQUIRED SKILL SET
- Common business practices relating to the purchase pricing terms shipment taxes and payment for commodities and services.
- Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine materials issues using independent judgment
- Must be able to prioritize work.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 3 years experience in supply chain and/or project management roles

- Broad knowledge of good manufacturing practices and industry standards
- Must be able to travel as needed to support development activities at suppliers up to 30%

- Stryker internal experience is preferred

- Previous experience with a variety of manufacturing processes
- Must possess presentation skills & ability to influence peers
- Must possess very strong and proven verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION
- Bachelors Degree in Business Engineering or related curriculum
- Candidate holds MBA degree or has recognizable oversea working experience will be preferred as justifications for seniority.
