The New York State Department of Health is seeking to fill three temporary Administrative Assistant positions in the NYSDOH Center for Health Care Provider Services and Oversight (CHCPSO) 875 Central Avenue Albany NY 12206 Regional Office to support the activities of the Criminal History and Records Check (CHRC) Bureau.

General duties:

The Criminal History and Records Check Bureau is responsible for assisting various New York State provider entities complete mandatory Criminal History Record Checks. The candidates will adhere to program guidelines and perform clerical functions including answering phone calls from multiple internal and external stakeholders processing incoming faxes and responding to stakeholder e-mails. Candidates must perform data entry into various databases and provide analysis of entered data. Candidates may be asked to perform special assignments and other administrative functions in support of the Bureau.

Required (minimum) Qualifications:

High School Diploma (or equivalent)

One (1) year minimum experience working in an office setting

One (1) year minimum experience working in a customer service-related field

One (1) year minimum experience in data entry

Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Outlook Excel Word etc.)
