Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels
Identify and report any discrepancies or shortages in inventory
Develop and implement inventory control procedures
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate inventory updates
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies
Supply Chain Management
Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
Maintain good relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms
Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement
Monitor and track supplier performance metrics
Identify and implement cost-saving measures in the supply chain
Data Analysis and Reporting
Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze inventory levels
Generate reports on inventory turnover stock levels and other key metrics
Identify trends and make recommendations for inventory optimization
Provide regular updates and reports to management on inventory status and performance
Process Improvement
Continuously review and improve inventory management processes
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Train and educate other team members on inventory management best practices
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve inventory management processes
Compliance and Safety
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards related to inventory management
Monitor and maintain proper storage and handling of inventory items
Implement and enforce safety protocols in the warehouse and inventory storage areas
Conduct regular safety audits and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel SQL).
In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
Experience with conducting inventory audits and implementing process improvements.
Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve inventory issues
Proven ability to influence and drive change across various levels of the organization.
Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
