ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processmedical records requests from attorneys patients hospitals DAs officeetc. via ChartSwap email mail and Freshdesk
Provideaccurate and efficient management of medical records
Followup and documentation of medical records requests
Ensurethat the medical records are organized accurate and complete
Createdigital copies of paperwork and store the records electronically
Safeguardpatient records and ensure compliance with the HIPAA regulations
Handleall incoming calls from the medical records line and assist in all queries
Negotiatereduction requests
Createtrack and send billing and medical records affidavits
Ensurethat policies and procedures are followed and enforced
Respondto requests for medical records and billing reports timely
Completeother job-related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLSAND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Strong data entry skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced organizational skills
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Familiarity with medical terminology
Basic computer skills to scan organize and access electronic healthrecords
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive patientinformation securely
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required
Notary certification preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office setting preferred
Release of information experience preferred
