The Opportunity
Our valued client is seeking a Project Implementation Manager - responsible for leading transport operational implementations for both new and existing customers. This role ensures successful project start-ups by managing timelines budgets and cross-functional coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders. The Implementation Manager will oversee the transition from project implementation to steady-state operations while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and lead transport implementation meetings with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure transport project start-ups meet timeline and budget requirements.
- Manage client deliveries and align internal milestones to meet business objectives.
- Work with Operations Commercial Finance and Business Development teams to implement efficient transport solutions.
- Facilitate a seamless transition into operational stages for at least three months after implementation.
- Travel to client sites operational launches and supplier meetings as necessary.
- Develop implementation plans project documents and progress reports.
- Maintain project timelines manage risks and communicate updates to team members and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee transport service delivery staffing and performance during implementation.
- Provide ongoing support to the Transport Operations Team in both short-term and long-term projects.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Operations Management Transportation or Business Administration.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in senior management roles within third-party logistics (3PL).
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics operations warehousing transportation or distribution with a preference for customer integration project experience.
- Proven project management skills with a strong leadership background.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal organizational communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with all levels of management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be highly detail oriented.
- Flexibility to travel up to 75% during project go-live and support phases.
