In this position

The Ford Supply Chain team is central to our ability to build great vehicles. As the manager for Wheel & Wheel Ornaments your team will be responsible for the sourcing of highquality components while driving cost quality and ontime delivery. Youll help shape a resilient supply chain so Ford can consistently deliver the vehicles our customers want.



Responsibilities

What youll do

  • Lead coach and develop a team of Buyers to achieve program-level cost quality and material-efficiency targets across the full program lifecycle.
  • Own the supplier relationship strategy for Wheels & Wheel Ornaments implementing a proactive engagement model to improve supplier performance capture innovation and mitigate commercial and operational risk.
  • Define and execute long-term commodity strategies for wheels and wheel ornaments that align with corporate objectives secure sustainable supply and maintain market competitiveness including sourcing plans for future programs.
  • Partner with cross functional strategic teams to assess supply base footprint evaluate supplier financial health track emerging technologies and market trends and convert insights into actionable sourcing and risk mitigation plans.


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-years leading a team and 7 years of strategic buying or sourcing experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with purchasing systems sourcing tools and standard procurement procedures.
  • Advanced negotiation capabilities with a proven track record of creating leverage in both offensive and defensive scenarios.
  • Excellent persuasive written and verbal communication skills and be adept at producing proposals reports and plans that secure businessleader commitment.
