Our Diabetes Business is looking for a Sr. Manager of Manufacturing & Operations Strategy to drive long term manufacturing and operations strategy to create a competitive advantage for the Diabetes business. You will have responsibility for identifying and executing strategies to drive cost efficiencies and margin improvement within the Diabetes Business. You will collaborate closely with other functions including R&D Supply Chain Sourcing and Finance to ensure business continuity and optimize efficiencies across the Operations network.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronics Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. Our portfolio of innovative solutions are designed to provide customers greater freedom and better health helping them achieve better glucose control while spending less time managing their disease.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

Develop and implement long-term manufacturing and operations
strategies to improve efficiency scalability and cost effectiveness.
Lead Make vs Buy assessments in partnership with Sourcing Finance and
Manufacturing
Develop and execute business continuity plans for the Diabetes business.
Ensure long term capacity plans in place to meet business growth
Lead large-scale cross-functional operations transformation programs
from concept to execution
Identify opportunities to drive gross margin improvements across
Diabetes operations and other areas of the P&L as appropriate
Benchmark competitive landscape industry trends and market dynamics
leveraging insights to drive strategy for Operations
Prepare and present reports and strategy proposal to Diabetes leadership

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree and 7 years of program management product development or other relevant experience OR Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of program management product development or other relevant experience

Nice to Have
Masters in Engineering or MBA
Project Management Certification PMP
Program management experience in the medical device aerospace auto






motive or other highly regulated industry
Experience in product development of drug delivery devices preferably in

insulin delivery devices
Experience devising and implementing streamlined processes and strategic

programs to improve efficiency timeliness and productivity
Experience in leading within matrix organizations requiring strong influence

management skills
Change agent --willingness and ability to lead and institute change
Influence management skills: experience working collaboratively at all levels

in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships re

quired to accomplish organizational goals
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness with

ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of

management and employees
Business acumen: ability to think and act from an overall best for the busi

ness perspective
Results oriented strong sense of urgency
Strong analytical planning organization and time management skills to

effectively develop and execute comprehensive programs and budgets
Effective decision-making skills with ability to negotiate and balance

decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments

and willingness to make tough decisions

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$139200.00 - $208800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health Dental and vision insuranceHealth Savings AccountHealthcare Flexible Spending AccountLife insurance Long-term disability leaveDependent daycare spending accountTuition assistance/reimbursement andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
