Job Title: Maximo Application Support Consultant
Location: Houston TX Onsite
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maximo Application Support Consultant to provide functional and technical support for IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). The consultant will be responsible for incident resolution issue analysis configuration and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of Maximo applications. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities stakeholder management skills and the ability to support system enhancements and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 application support for IBM Maximo (including monitoring troubleshooting and resolving incidents).
- Analyze diagnose and resolve application issues related to workflows escalations integrations and configurations.
- Perform routine maintenance activities such as applying patches fixes and upgrades.
- Manage Maximo security profiles roles and user administration.
- Coordinate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into Maximo solutions.
- Support integrations with external systems (ERP GIS Finance Supply Chain etc.).
- Create and maintain system documentation support guides and user training materials.
- Work with IBM and vendors on product-related issues and enhancements.
- Provide functional support for asset management processes (work management inventory purchasing preventive maintenance etc.).
- Participate in testing (unit system regression UAT) and support go-live activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo 7.x / Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
- Strong knowledge of Maximo core modules (Asset Work Order Inventory Purchasing Preventive Maintenance).
- Experience in Maximo configuration (domains workflows escalations conditional expressions).
- Knowledge of SQL Oracle/DB2 databases for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and web services (REST/SOAP).
- Familiarity with Maximo security model and user access management.
- Ability to handle incident problem and change management processes (ITIL framework preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of automation scripts (Jython/Python/Java).
- Experience in Maximo upgrade/migration projects.
- Familiarity with Cloud Mobile or Spatial (GIS) integration with Maximo.
- IBM Maximo Certification (Functional or Technical).
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field.
