Pool Designer (Sales)

Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the Sales Team is to act as a liaison to the customer in their pool-buying process. Salespeople are expected to represent the core values of Premier while fulfilling responsibilities to both their customers and the company.
This includes setting appointments meeting with potential customers conceptualizing pricing and presenting pool designs and bids and successfully closing the sale. Salespeople are responsible for generating profitable bids and submitting a complete contract packet upon each sale.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Design
- Conduct Design Consultations with potential customers to explain the features and merits of pool ownership (see sales manual).
- Assess customer needs and expectations to design and recommend a custom backyard pool using professional pool design software or professional hand drawings.
- Conduct Design Presentations using the company presentation binder introducing the company differentiators and construction process (see sales manual).
- Gain customer commitment for swimming pool and related backyard construction projects.
- Provide a completed contract packet to the Business Manager for approval.
Customer Follow-Up
- Conduct immediate and scheduled follow-up appointments.
- Contact customers weekly to provide general updates about the status of their job (with nonspecific timelines).
- Attend both the Day of Dig and Day of Gunite to walk customers and construction managers through key job phases.
- Build long-term referral relationships through exceptional customer care.
- Always exceed customer expectations by under-promising and over-delivering.
Team Involvement & Events
- Attend weekly construction and sales meetings.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars home shows and telemarketing events when requested.

Preferred Experience
- Prior pool design and/or pool sales experience
- Prior commission-based sales experience
