Asst Principal Engineer (Hull Design)
Reporting to: Senior Manager Design
Functional Reporting to: GM/Senior GM Design
Summary
- Independently handling design project and develop naval architecture & hull design.
- Provide assistance in enhancing the skills and knowledge of team members to support their professional development.
Description
- Liaise with Owner/ Class/ External Designer for the specific design requirement and provide technical solution.
- Lead team to general conceptual and basic design.
- Design and deliver tailored training programs provide one-on-one coaching and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry practices.
- Perform naval architecture calculations such as speed performance prediction stability/hydrostatic scantling assessment weight distribution launching calculation and etc.
- Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document
Experience / Skills
- Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Hull & Hull / Naval Architecture design.
- Degree or Diploma in relevant disciplines
- Good knowledge and skill on coaching and structural/naval architecture design.
- Familiar with GHS/NAPA/FEMAP/Autocad/MS office
- Good communication analytical skills
