About the position

Flora Food Group is seeking a proactive and experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager to lead our regulatory strategy and operations across Developed Markets (Europe and North America). Based in our Wageningen and Amsterdam office (hybrid working) this is a pivotal global role reporting to the Head of Scientific Affairs.

Youll collaborate closely with R&D Marketing Corporate Affairs and Legal teams to ensure our innovation and product development meet and exceed compliance requirements. Youll also help steer our marketing claims strategy and risk management and represent FFGs voice with external partners authorities and trade associations.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your regulatory expertise across a diverse range of categories and marketsguiding business-critical decision-making while helping deliver the next generation of delicious natural nutritious food.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Guide Product Developers and Technical Project Leaders from project inception to ensure regulatory compliance for innovative products and claims.
  • Shape and implement Flora Food Groups marketing claims strategy and risk management plans.
  • Anticipate identify and manage regulatory changes across Europe and North America and drive implementation within the business.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Legal Quality Packaging Procurement etc.) to address regulatory and compliance questions from authorities and customers.
  • Represent FFGs technical interests in industry groups and with regulatory authorities in partnership with Corporate Affairs and Legal.

So what does it take to be successful in this role

Were looking for a skilled and influential regulatory leader capable of navigating complex environments while keeping pace with commercial priorities and innovation pipelines.

Youll bring:

  • A Masters Degree (or higher) in Food Technology or Quality.
  • 10 years of regulatory or technical experience in the food or food ingredient manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth expertise in food regulations including packaging and ingredients across Europe and North America.
  • 35 years of experience managing international teams and regulatory programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a strong understanding of how to influence both internally and externally.
  • Practical experience with issues management advocacy and regulatory engagement.
  • A proactive can-do mindset with the ability to manage time-sensitive business needs.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
