Role Profile
The management and traceability of desktop data bearing IT assets is a top priority for Morgan Stanley. The Infrastructure Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all desktop data bearing assets are managed in accordance with Morgan Stanley policies and procedures throughout the IMAC (Installs Moves Add and Changes) lifecycle and hardware break-fix.
The Infrastructure Service Manager will manage a local team whose remit will include the receipt building configuring installing moving break-fixing and decommissioning desktop assets. This will also include inventory and stock management. They will provide procedural support to their team to ensure projects are executed in accordance with established operating instructions.
They will be the primary interface for move projects for Corporate Services and stock management for non-Data Center Comms Room IT Assets as well as the escalation point for any IMAC related activities for their region. Skills Required
- A wide range of experience in a Technology role preferably in the financial or Investment Banking industry
- Able to demonstrate strong team leadership skills.
- Proven experience of adherence to detailed processes.
- Self-motivated personality with a very high level of attention to detail
- The ability to maintain and develop formal and informal relationships with key stakeholders and with peer Service Managers globally to ensure a consistent approach in each region.
- The ability to multi-task in a high paced and demanding environment is crucial.
- Experience with managing relationships with vendors including the monitoring of Service Level Agreements
- Ability to communicate at all levels of management.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Japanese (Japanese is required between vendor communications)
Skills Desired
- Experience working in Agile teams and an understanding of Agile practices.
- An understanding of or qualification in ITIL practices.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products (including admin functions)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
