Exercise and Scenario Designer Okinawa Japan The Exercise and Scenario Design Lead reports to and receives work direction from the Project Manager through the local Company Site Lead. The Scenario and Exercise Design Lead will perform the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and Assist in the generation of scenario design materials and documentation related to III MEF and US INDOPACOM Theater of Operations.
- Integrate USMC Mission Essential Tasks in the development of scenarios exercise concepts plans procedures and systems to support USMC Training Objectives.
- Provide planning Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) database development and instructional expertise to support combat operations center logistics operation center and tactical air command center environment to support a variety of training supported events and exercises.
- Affect planning and management of scenarios with the development of training objectives operational orders scenarios and vignettes to USMC units on Okinawa.
- Assist III MEF units during mission planning and scenario design.
- Maintain current and historical documentation of all BSC/CAST Scenario Design/Exercise Support that includes After Action Reviews (AAR).
- Provide support to Command Operation Centers during training events and exercises.
- Conduct on-site instruction and technical assistance as required to include field training environments and will on occasion participate as a member of a mobile training team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Bachelors Degree preferred.
- At least five years of experience with Marine Corps Operations.
- At least three years of experience in exercise design that includes in depth knowledge of Operational plans and concepts.
- Well versed in USMC Mission Essential Tasks Joint doctrine and policies.
- Possesses familiarity with USMC C2/C4 and computer simulation systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS - Work is conducted on site in a government facility.
- Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
- May be required to lift carry and move computer and associated equipment.
- Be able to work an unstable schedule to include holidays and weekends in support of exercises. Exercises often require shifts of 12-14 hrs per day 7 days a week for the duration of the exercise which normally are 1-3 weeks in length.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS - Requiresfrequent CONUS and OCONUS travel for up to three weeks at a time.

- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that is acceptable to the companys auto insurance provider.
- Daily travel in local area during work day (including use of personal vehicle).
