About the company
Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client an Independent Software Provider offering comprehensive end-to-end solutions tailored for financial businesses.
Job Responsibilities
As an Accounting System Analyst you will be responsible for bridging business needs and technical solutions in financial systems. Your work will involve consulting requirement analysis system implementation and continuous optimization to ensure accuracy efficiency and compliance in financial reporting.
Consult with customers or users to understand accounting system requirements including key features transaction flows and financial reporting formats
Conduct business needs analysis (requirement gathering) by identifying gaps between current/manual processes and the new system to be implemented
Document system requirements in the form of a Business Requirement Document (BRD) or Functional Specification Document (FSD).
Implement accounting systems based on business needs and prevailing accounting standards.
Provide training and support to users on the use of the accounting system and financial reporting.
Analyze and enhance the efficiency of the accounting system including improving data flow minimizing manual errors and automating accounting processes.
Coordinate with development teams and business stakeholders to ensure the system meets operational needs and regulatory requirements.
Perform system testing (UAT) and troubleshoot errors in the financial reporting process.
Job Requirements
Minimum 12 years of experience as a System Analyst or in a related role with at least 2 years prior experience as a software developer/engineer/programmer.
Proven experience in requirement gathering business consulting and financial system implementation.
Experience in the development or implementation of accounting systems such as SAP Oracle Odoo Accurate or other ERP platforms.
Strong understanding of accounting system concepts and workflows including transaction cycles journal entries ledgers profit & loss statements balance sheets and cash flow reports.
Proficiency in SQL or other database tools for analyzing data within accounting systems.
Skilled in planning architecting designing estimating and executing software development projects for successful delivery to customers.
Capable of leading teams mentoring team members and ensuring high-quality work aligned with business needs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
Deep knowledge of IT software development and distributed systems with enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
Ability to identify and resolve technical issues in fast-paced adaptive environments.
Familiarity with GIT CI/CD virtualization containerization and issue-tracking tools.
Solid understanding of the Agile mindset and Scrum framework.
