Job Summary

Your future responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Researcher to lead high-quality industry-relevant research in machine learning and signal processing.
You will work in a team with strong connections to international academic and industry partners and be responsible for:
Your Leadership responsibilities
  • Developing AI/ML models to analyze data and solve real-world problems such as in computer vision or signal processing.
  • Designing experiments to rigorously compare your methods with relevant baselines.
  • Acquiring managing and executing research projects with industrial and academic partners in close collaboration with team members.
  • Publishing results in peer-reviewed international conferences and scientific journals.
Your profile
  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field such as Electrical Engineering Statistics Mathematics Mechatronics or Physics.
  • At least 4 years of practical experience in AI/ML and data science ideally applied to real-world problems.
  • Strong understanding of vision data and processing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g. scikit-learn PyTorch).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) in occupational group G (G1 salary EUR 5.546 paid 14 times a year). Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. We offer a gross salary in the range between EUR 85.000 to EUR 120.000 (annual based on an All-in contract and bonus).
