Pay
HK$203551 to HK$256625 (HGPS point 50 to 51B) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Provide specialist services.
2.
Supervise Residents undergoing specialist training.
3.
Undertake teaching and administrative work.
4.
Undergo continuing medical education and professional development.
5.
Conduct research as appropriate.
1.
Registered medical practitioner under the Medical Registration Ordinance; and
2.
Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Surgery) or equivalent; and
3.
Registered in the Specialist Register in the relevant specialty of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.
Preferable Attributes/Exposure
1.
Staff members in the rank are expected to meet the 4 core competencies set for the Consultant post. They are:

- Organization effectiveness
2.
Holding the trainer status of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong is preferred.
3.
Contribution to professional development including research teaching and training.
