IMSA is committed to equity and excellence including the active recruitment of students from all areas of Illinois. IMSAs PROMISE Program addresses the unique challenges of culturally linguistically and economically diverse (CLED) students who have an interest in STEM education by providing academic enrichment programming at low to no cost. This grant-funded program is open to all students especially Black or African American students Latinx students students who qualify for the national free or reduced-price meal program as well as students from rural Illinois counties. The PROMISE Program consists of three grade-based experiences serving students 7th -9th grade.
Currently we are seeking instructors for the fall 2025 PROMISE Program which serves non-IMSA students currently enrolled in the 9th grade. The program will run on 7 designated Saturday this program candidates will work with students that have varying academic backgrounds.

*Multiple teachers from the same discipline can provide coverage for the sessions instead of one person committing to all 7 sessions*

One of the instruction periods will be a Specials course. This course will be a rotation of special guest instructors from disciplines across the Academy. Special guests can sign up for 1-2 sessions.
