Position Overview
We are seeking a Steel Shop Cutter to join our structural steel fabrication team. This position involves cutting shaping and preparing steel components used in our innovative building systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented mechanically skilled and capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Cut and shape structural steel parts to specifications
- Operate shop equipment including grinders punches press brakes drill presses magnetic drills and standard drills
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Maintain safe and organized work practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in steel fabrication (preferred)
- Proficiency with shop tools (grinders punches press brakes drills)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and safety standards
- Reliable punctual and team-oriented
