This role will be within Liberty Blume Finance in the newly created Commercial Finance team. The Cost Manager will support the Commercial Finance director in leading on cost tracking and analysis across Liberty Blume. The role will work with the existing Management Accounts team and the finance business partners to ensure a robust control environment on operating expenditure and provide accurate analysis on headcount costs and movements licence costs and other internal/external spend.
The role will be based in the Blume Bradford office (minimum 2 days a week per rota schedule
Key Accountabilities
Maintain and improve cost control environment ensure effective controls are in place and suggest and implement new controls where appropriate
Analyse Actual headcount costs and movement create tracker and reporting to ensureconfidence on headcount costs movements and headcount overall including joiners/leavers promotions etc and be able to articulate impact on monthly labour cost actuals
Monitor and track licence spend work with Enterprise Systems team to oversee software andservice licence expenditure ensuring monthly actuals are accurate POs are raised and receipted in a timely fashion and spend by supplier is understood on a monthly basis
Purchase Order Monitoring ensure POs are accurately tracked and receipted and monitorGRNI balances within Blume on a monthly basis
Conduct detailed analysis of spend by supplier supported by Management Accounts resource to identify trends and ensure integrity of actuals and accruals/prepayments
Work with Business Partners to design monthly cost reporting that include headcount supplier spend travel and expenses that will be produced by Management Accounts on a monthly basis
Work with Business Partners to ensure they fully understand their cost actuals that willinfluence their forecasting processes
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Accounting or controlling qualification.
Track record working within a complex matrix services organisation
Analytically strong and pragmatic with a long-term vision
Ability to apply sound business practices
Result driven output focused team player
Being able to build bridges and create support for improvements
Strong systems and Excel skills confident with large datasets
Proactive and self-reliant/ independent self-starter
Fits into ambitious result-driven down-to-earth culture
Strong organisational and operational skills able to plan effectively anticipate on issues and solving problems.
Knowledge of USGAAP Accounting principles & SOX guidelines
