At Suncorp New Zealand we are all about bright futures and yours could be next! We are on the lookout for a dynamic Risk Business Partner to join our recently expanded Risk & Compliance team. This is your chance to take the lead in a pivotal role guiding a team of talented First Line Risk advisors and making your mark on a thriving forward-focused organisation.
In this influential role you will partner with our Line 1 Business Support and NZ Technology functions to bring Suncorp New Zealands Enterprise Risk Management Framework to life. You will be the go-to expert offering strategic and technical advice coaching senior leaders and embedding a culture of proactive intelligent risk management across the business.
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce Business Law or Finance
- 10 years in legal risk or compliance management in the financial services sector
- 5 years insurance experience desired
- Proven leadership directly or through influence
- Broad commercial experience at senior levels
- Deep knowledge of insurance risk management practices
- Passion for delivering great customer experiences and business outcomes
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear actionable insights
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
