We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Architect to oversee the management and optimization of space on both physical and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Windows OS SQL Server and basic firewall security concepts. This role is crucial for maintaining system efficiency security and performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Space Management:**
- Monitor and manage storage on physical servers and cloud platforms to ensure optimal usage.
- Implement strategies for data archiving compression and tiering to manage storage effectively.
- Regularly audit storage systems to identify and reclaim unused or underutilized space.
- **Windows OS Management:**
- Install configure and maintain Windows operating systems across the infrastructure.
- Perform system updates patches and upgrades to ensure security and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS configurations and performance.
- **SQL Server Management:**
- Administer SQL Server databases including backup recovery and performance tuning.
- Optimize database storage and manage database growth to prevent space issues.
- Ensure data integrity and availability through regular maintenance and monitoring.
- **Security and Compliance:**
- Implement and manage basic firewall and network security measures to protect infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards regarding data storage and security.
- Monitor system logs for any unusual activities that could indicate security breaches.
- **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure layouts configurations and procedures.
- Generate reports on storage usage system health and security status for management review.
- **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with IT teams developers and other stakeholders to plan and execute space management strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices for space and system management.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration with a focus on Windows OS and SQL Server.
- Proficient in managing cloud services (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Good understanding of network security concepts especially firewall configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating with team members.
-Advanced or fluent in English
**Preferred Skills:**
- Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or MCSA: SQL Server.
- Experience with automation tools for infrastructure management.
- Knowledge of scripting (e.g. PowerShell) for system administration tasks.
