Position Summary:
Accurate collection and data entry of the required financial and demographic information for all patients at time of scheduling pre-registration and registration. Accurate verification of benefits and pre-certification requirements. Collections of required co-insurance deductible or deposits from patients. Projection of a professional manner when dealing with all customers.

Responsibilities
- Meets all the requirements of the Registration Secretary and Registration Services Associate I duties and responsibilities including one year of hospital registration experience.
- Customer Service: Maintains a customer service rating of at least 99% including successful observation/evaluation audits completion of customer service training and maintenance of <2 confirmed customer service complaints within 12 months.
- Scheduling: Maintains a scheduling system test score of at least 95% with successful audit including
- *Routinely registering non pre-registered patients within a 12-minutes time frame.
- *Routinely registering pre-registered patients within a 5-minute time frame.
- *Routinely completing non-patient registrations within 6 minutes.
- Financial Counseling: Maintains a financial counseling rating of at least 95% with successful audit including 98% charity applications score and >50% collection rate.
- Pre-Registration; Insurance Verification: Maintains 98% accuracy on Medicare Secondary Payor and Quality Audits. Successfully completes 72-hour secondary payor and insurance/pre-registration rules assessments and updates.
- Optical Imaging: Demonstrates 98% accuracy in optical imaging audits.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Must be a high school graduate. Completion of college-level business office training preferred. Must be able to type a minimum of 45 net wpm. Must demonstrate proficiency in English be able to read with comprehension and write legibly; Must perform basic arithmetic calculations and demonstrate ability to use copiers calculator within Registration Departments standards. Must demonstrate expertise with the use of personal computers optical imaging scheduling pre-registration and registration.
Must be familiar with and demonstrate knowledge of insurance procedures and hospital services and charges. Must complete MMC Registration insurance training and pass insurance proficiency assessment.
Minimum Experience
One (1) year of experience in hospital registration business office or physicians office required must have experience in successfully performing clerical duties.
