JOB SCOPE:The incumbent is responsible to assess the underlying risk profile of the company and generate quotations accurately on a timely manner.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Underwrite new business and renewal business for Group Customers within the company specified approval limits.
- Provide consistent and fair assessment based on the groups underlying risk profile with customers best interest in mind.
- Ensure quotation request is performed within service standard until customer outcome is delivered.
- Adhere to Group Business Underwriting Guidelines and standards set.
- Communicate with actuarial reinsurers technical services agents on the more complex cases.
- Accountable for portfolio management to ensure profitability objectives are consistently met.
- Build and maintain the quotation tools to ensure the calculation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support senior management in strategic planning management deck preparation and reporting.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications
- Possess Degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent in life insurance related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in group business underwriting or pricing will be an added advantage.
- Customer focused with excellent problem-solving skills positive attitude and excels under pressure.
Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Application e.g. Excel PowerPoint and Word.
