Job Description

During Peak Events (High Season) this roles is required to work on weekends and Holidays also during night shifts to ensure the execution of plans. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills leadership experience excellent communication abilities and the ability to drive operational excellence through team coordination and data-driven decision making while maintaining an empathetic approach to leadership. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and a proven track record of implementing successful process improvements is essential.

The Operations Manager role is a strategic part of coordinating our operations both inside the building and outside on route. As an Ops Manager you will be a key strategic piece in delivering results. You will develop a team of more junior managers who are starting their careers guiding them towards success. This position requires a strong attention to operational metrics and the ability to coordinate a team to deliver results.

The three key areas you will always focus on are safety service quality customer experience and productivity of your department.

Main activities:

Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operations; manage a team to meet all building goals
Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and Delivery Service Providers
Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implement Lean tools
Analyze operational metrics and develop strategies to improve performance
Mentor and develop junior managers fostering their growth and enhancing team capabilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with team members through effective communication and empathetic leadership


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be part of the Amazon Logistics Team responsible for the day-to-day management of the delivery station overseeing operations that focus on delivering Amazon orders directly to customers

Lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management of the delivery station including meetings training sessions assigning job duties and communicating with DSPs including management representatives and their drivers

Ensure a safe workplace properly trained personnel and address team needs so they can focus on their jobs
Coordinate operations both within the facility and for on-route activities
Create an inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and heard


Additional responsibilities:

Lead change at internet speed as innovation has made us the global company we are today
Route shipments within the AMZL coverage area
Support and assign job duties to process assistants
Adapt to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities
Track & monitor sorting operation and driver dispatch
Stand and/or walk an average of 5 miles daily

- Completed Bachelor Degree
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- English and Spanish Fluent
- 3 years of general experience
- 3 years as People Manager

- 1 years of performance metrics process improvement or lean techniques experience
