Introduction to the job
Application engineer supports customer HVM production and help performance improvement via application products/knowledge
Role and responsibilities
High Volume Manufacturing: sustain install base machine for on product escalations maximize wafer output
- Able to understand customer needs align clear problem description with customer on product trouble shooting under time pressure condition
- Take ownership and initiative required prompt response
- lead escalation and communication with ASML experts internally and act as customer interface
- collaborate across departments for smooth trouble shooting
- stakeholder management for technical topics
- problem solving mindset
- support DUV YS VCP
Education and experience
- More than 2 yrs experience in semiconductor industry
Skills
Flexibility and quick response is required for HVM maturation. You should be aware of cost of ownership and maximize value of ASML product.
- Describe clear problem description including customer use case
- Able to create user friendly technical document using common words (not ASML specific term)
- Trouble shooting skill data analysis skill excel power point
- Basic project management skill
- English requirements: TOEIC 600 daily conversation level
- English presentation communication skill to lead technical conversation internally and externally
- Japanese skill JLPT N2 daily conversation level
- lead technical conversation by Japanese in customer meeting
Optional
- Programing (MATLAB)
Other information
This position is based in Nagasaki. Onsite support is required and need clean room work some times. also We may need to deliver off hour support.
