About the opportunity
Are you detail-oriented customer-focused and ready to grow your career in local government As aProperty Rating Officer youll play a key role in supporting fair and accurate property rating helping Council deliver essential services to our community. This is more than just numbers its about making a meaningful impact in a place youre proud to call home.
You will make an impact by
- Ensuring accurate property records and valuations to maximise Council revenue.
- Processing rate notices and waste management charges with precision.
- Supporting internal teams and ratepayers with expert advice and data.
- Contributing to business improvement and customer service initiatives.
- Assisting in the recovery of outstanding rates and managing concessions.
What you will bring
- Knowledge and understanding of municipal rates valuations titles and subdivisions
- Experience using property systems and Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with TechOne CRM SharePoint and Open Office systems (desirable).
- Knowlegde about relevant legislation including the Local Government Act and the Privacy Data Protection Act.
