What youll do!

Were currently seeking a Security and Compliance Analyst to support our compliance and information security initiatives. This role is critical in helping ensure operational integrity and regulatory alignment across our organization and affiliated partners.

The Security and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for evaluating internal controls within the NIST SP 800-53 r5framework. Key responsibilities include accurately identifying relevant controls reviewing procedural documentation conducting audit sampling and performing control testing. The role may also involve interaction with third-party assessors regulatory bodies and clientsunder appropriate supervision.

The ideal candidate is a strategic systems-oriented thinker who enjoys problem-solving collaboration and improving processes. Strong analytical skills and a passion for compliance and information security are essential.

This position will also support the Vice President of Security Servicesand Senior Information Security Officerin conducting annual assessments related to compliance with applicable laws regulations and standards affecting FES and its affiliates.

What youll have!

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-3 years of internal or external audit experience in information security technology compliance or systems administration operations preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Information Security Risk and Compliance principles and processes at an intermediate level.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive approachable demeanor and the cultural awareness needed to thrive in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and effectively communicate actionable recommendations to management.
  • Experience analyzing control testing results to assess organizational risk.
  • Familiarity with implementing best practices based on industry frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53 and CSF.
  • Local candidates near our Lincoln NE office are preferred.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation is required.
