Job Duties
As a Packet Core Architect you will serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Packet Core domain network functions. You will own the Packet Core network design lead new project implementations and be responsible for optimization and troubleshooting of design implementations. This role is pivotal in our network transformation efforts from Virtual Network Functions (VNF) to Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNF) focusing on core components such as MME SAEGW CUPS UPF DNS CGNATs Load balancers GTP Proxy and others.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design optimization and implementation of Packet Core network functions.
Actively participate in the network transformation from VNF to CNF.
Handle complex project scopes ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of new technologies within existing network infrastructures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network design and functionality with business requirements.
Provide technical leadership in migrating core network elements from traditional architectures to more efficient and scalable solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
8 years of experience in the Wireless Telecom Industry with at least 6 years in Core Network Delivery.
Hands-on experience with 4G & 5G packet core network design and implementation.
Expertise in MME SAEGW UPF DNS CGNATs Load balancers GTP Proxy.
Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes Docker or Openshift.
Deep understanding of protocols such as S1AP GTP and Diameter.
Knowledge of OpenStack and virtualization technologies.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.
Proficiency in network management and monitoring tools.
Excellent project management skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills and experience in team and vendor management.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of Core Network functions like HSS HLR IMS PCRF OCS.
Understanding of 5G SA architectures and call flows.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python bash or Tcl.
Certifications such as CCNP JNCIA or equivalent.
Thorough understanding of Data Performance Metrics and protocol analysis tools like Wireshark NetScout RADCOM.
Preferred Certifications
CKA CCNA CCNP OpenStack
Advanced proficiency in English
