Senior Vice President Capital Planning

Position Overview:

Senior Vice President Capital Planning leads the strategic client operations organization responsible for delivering capital planning services across multiple high-profile client accounts driving enterprise-wide initiatives and business development opportunities. The services include overseeing construction planning ROM budget estimating managing technology platforms governance process management data analytics and executive-level strategic advisory to C-suite clients. The Senior Vice President Capital Planning delivers operational excellence at scale and drives innovation through the JLL capital planning process while leading regional teams and setting organizational direction.

What This Job Involves:

• Lead and direct regional capital planning operations and multiple senior teams managing the strategic development of multi-year real estate capital plans across diverse client portfolios while providing executive-level advisory to clients on portfolio optimization performance and strategic utilization.
• Leverage extensive experience in cost and schedule management financial planning facilities management and construction project management to identify enterprise-level opportunities for clients to achieve significant cost savings operational efficiency and risk mitigation across their real estate portfolios.
• Executive ownership of data strategy across AdaptiveWork capital planning modules and enterprise reporting systems ensuring data integrity advanced analytics capabilities and seamless integration with client executive dashboards and strategic reporting.
• Lead sophisticated analysis of client datasets to generate strategic insights including portfolio optimization market-based strategic sourcing investment prioritization frameworks and long-term capital allocation strategies.
• Establishes trusted C-suite partnerships with both client executives and JLL senior leadership; builds immediate credibility drives organizational confidence and provides strategic counsel during complex business transformations and critical decision-making processes.
• Collaborates at the executive level across integrated JLL teams to orchestrate comprehensive client solutions leveraging the full spectrum of JLL capabilities and market intelligence.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all regional capital planning activities in accordance with enterprise client governance frameworks and continuous improvement roadmaps across multiple markets.
• Lead advanced analytics initiatives to identify portfolio-wide efficiency gains and strategic bundling opportunities developing comprehensive business cases for large-scale capital allocation decisions.
• Oversee the strategic development and executive review of business justifications investment strategies budget frameworks and enterprise risk assessments for major client initiatives.
• Conduct executive-level strategy sessions with C-suite stakeholders to review capital planning performance KPIs and long-term strategic recommendations.
• Partner with client executives and JLL senior leadership to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment of multi-year capital forecasts with business objectives.
• Build and maintain executive relationships across client organizations and ensure strategic alignment of capital planning initiatives with broader corporate real estate strategies.
• Lead organizational change management initiatives and instill confidence through clear strategic and proactive executive communication.
• Drive enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives with internal and external clients.
• Lead the development and implementation of industry best practices and innovation standards ensuring their integration into enterprise Capital Planning processes and organizational procedures.
• Stays informed on market trends JLL PDS innovations and industry developments while leading strategic client initiatives and business development opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Preference towards Finance Engineering Construction Management or Business Administration.
• Expert understanding of complex building systems (MEPFS and architectural) with ability to advise on portfolio-wide infrastructure strategies.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver high-impact executive presentations strategic reports case studies and white papers for C-suite audiences.
• 15 years in real estate and construction program/process management with demonstrated progression to senior leadership roles.
• 15 years of experience developing and executing large-scale project charters and strategic initiatives including complex scope management multi-year schedules enterprise budgets executive business justifications and comprehensive risk management frameworks.
• Advanced ability to generate and review AACE level 3-5 cost evaluations; expert capability in strategic planning and enterprise-level decision making leveraging established project controls platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams drive organizational change and create strategic consensus across complex stakeholder environments.
• Deep expertise in JLL PDS processes systems innovations and strategic reporting capabilities with proven track record contributing to and leading strategic client initiatives.
• Advanced understanding of real estate and construction finance principles capital markets and investment strategies.
• Proven track record leading executive client engagements and providing strategic counsel to senior executives and C-suite leaders through comprehensive reports strategic communications and executive presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced experience with AdaptiveWork Capital Planning module and enterprise implementation
• Expert level Excel Smartsheet Power BI and advanced business intelligence platforms
• Professional certification in project management (PMP) and/or strategic planning (preferred)
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities
• Proven ability to lead organizational change and adapt to dynamic market conditions
• Extensive experience with enterprise procurement strategic sourcing and vendor management
• Previous P&L responsibility and business development experience preferred
