What Youll Do:
As the Order Processing Specialist you will oversee plan and manage the order processing and customer service for the companys large strategic accounts ensuring the entire order fulfillment process is accurate and efficient from inception to delivery.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Processes new orders quickly efficiently and accurately utilizing the company ERP system ensuring they are scheduled for the proper lead-time and shipped on-time and complete to customers.
- Maintains accurate and complete records on assigned customers and enters detailed notes and instructions as required by the customer to meet any special requirements and ensure clarity across operations.
- Regularly reviews all open orders for assigned customer accounts to ensure status remains on track and proactively addresses all questions concerning orders fulfillment and delivery to drive business growth and service excellence.
- Collaborates with the sales and quoting teams to facilitate quick and efficient quotes that are accurate and reflective of current costs and priced to achieve margin objectives.
- Interacts with other functional areas to address questions and resolve issues; escalates as needed to find and implement solutions.
- Builds relationships with sales and quoting teams and regularly shares information and metrics on assigned customers for developing target programs and resolving issues.
- Continuously evaluates ways to improve all aspects of job function to improve performance and provide superior service to assigned customers.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; will consider a combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 3 years of customer service or order processing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Certification(s): N/a
- Functional Skills: Solid work flow prioritizing follow through and organizing of large amounts of data; detail oriented yet good with customers; solid ability to problem solve and work with others to ensure orders are accurate and processed on time; solid math and data comparison skills.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Advanced ability with technology and systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Experience with CRM and ERP systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills able to present information to individuals and groups.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Supportive and customer focused; timely and responsive with a strong sense of urgency; flexible and adaptable; conceptual and forward thinking; ability to influence others to get orders moving forward; high attention to quality of work; ability to communicate and build relationships across all levels inside and outside of the organization; passion for meeting and exceeding the customers expectations with the drive to diligently and resourcefully find solutions.

Core Hours: 8:00 am 5:00 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8 hours within this timeframe)
Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week on average

Travel: Limited
Work Environment: Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned environments; hazardous materials such as solvents and petroleum-based products; machinery heavy tools raw material material handling equipment and warehouse racking.
