Job Description

Introduction

Brand of choice! Thats what we are aiming for! In this role you will join the Retail Services team consisting of 7 members including the manager at our European Headquarters in Eindhoven. This team is part of the Shimano Europe marketing team.

As a Retail Marketing Officer at Shimano you support the team mainly with administrative tasks. The teams activities are aimed at improving the physical brand visibility of our brands with the main focus on the Shimano brand itself. Marketing materials are being developed by the team for use in a variety of ways across Europe. These materials to Shimanos subsidiaries external distributors in Europe and to internal departments by using an internal webshop. The complete assortment changes frequently and is being managed by the team which you will be part of.
In your job your main activities are giving administrative support in order-intake & purchasing processes and communication with our customers & suppliers. You will work in close collaboration with the Merchandising Manager & Account Back-up in the same team to ensure data consistency & quick follow-up on all activities ranging from item selection to delivery to customers.

We are not looking for a hardcore marketeer to apply for this job but for somebody that is keen on the administrative part of this job. Do you have a disciplined and structured way of working Are you dedicated to gathering analyzing and reporting data accurately Do you have a flexible mindset Are you able to cope with changing processes and procedures Are you a reliable sparring partner for internal & external customers and suppliers Are you comfortable working with different types of data & systems Then this might be your new opportunity!

The Challenge

  • Item management order intake order confirmation contact with suppliers & all administrative processes around these activities.
  • Administrative support in managing the overall process for purchasing marketing and promotional materials.
  • Content management of our B2B web shop by collecting data about our materials and updating the content.
  • First line of contact for our B2B customers and a variety of suppliers across Europe.

What are we looking for

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar job (or administrative or support role).
  • Excellent language skills in English both verbally as written.
  • Working experience with Microsoft applications specifically good skills in Excel are required.
  • Applications like Adobe Photoshop Magento (web shop platform) are considered a plus.
  • Available for a minimum of 32 hours per week; spread over 4 of 5 days.
