Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a strong Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the execution of programs within the Weapons Data Links (WDL) portfolio of the Strategic Maritime Directorate. The Program Manager is responsible for the cost schedule resourcing and performance of assigned programs by leading teams including Product Line/Program Management Engineering Operations Contracts Legal Finance Quality Security and others. Program Managers are expected to demonstrate team building leadership and communication skills by building relationships of trust with their teams customers peers and leadership and to effectively communicate with confidence including regular presentations and status updates to leadership.
Essential Functions:
- Experience managing programs using EVMS principles
- Subject matter expert with comprehensive in-depth knowledge of program management.
- Direct all phases of the program from inception through completion.
- Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial (P&L) objectives
- Acts as primary contact for program activities leading program review sessions discuss cost schedule technical performance and risk.
- Manage external relationships with the Government Prime Contractors and International customers
- Leads Program Risk Management to identify and mitigate risks that could impact program technical cost and schedule performance.
- Responsible for managing and driving key performance indicators of cost schedule and performance requirements of programs through the life-cycle phases of development implementation and operations to meet and exceed objectives
- Lead development and maintenance of an active and proactive risk management program
- Responsible for budget management and financial execution of the program
- Develop and manage accurate programmatic and financial forecasts
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience or 16 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Historical experience transitioning EMD development programs to high volume production
- Knowledge of Military Datalinks and related products
- Experience managing cross-functional product-based programs for the Government DoD Primes and International Customers
- Experience with multiple phases of the program capture & execution lifecycle (Bid & Proposal Development Production Sustainment)
- Ability to lead and develop relationships with geographically dispersed teams
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills
