POSITION DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will be assigned to the high school office where they will provide support to the Vice Principal of Student Support Services and other administrators as needed. The hours are Monday - Friday 7:30AM- 4:00PM.
OUR STUDENTS:Southeastern is a diverse multicultural vocational technical high school which serves over 1700 students. The students balance the rigors of a complete academic course of studies with technical skill training in over 20 career majors. Our students are prepared for college career and/or additional technical training.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides general clerical support to the high school administrators and other staff as assigned.
- Assists in the completion of all reports and memos required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Maintains a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for meetings interviews and conferences.
- Screens phone calls and routes them to the appropriate individual or department when necessary.
- Maintains an efficient filing system and preserves school records.
- Communicates professionally and effectively with District staff students families vendors and community members.
- Ensures that parents teachers students and the general public receive prompt and courteous assistance.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher strongly preferred.
- 5 or more years of previous clerical experience preferred.
- Advance knowledge of computer applications and office procedures including but not limited to Microsoft Office Google and Adobe. Proficiency with Excel is a must.
- Proficiency in the use of office equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in keyboarding.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with supervisors co-workers staff students and members of the public.
- Proficiency in a second language including Haitian Creole Cape Verdean Creole Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
COMPENSATION:This role isa school-year employees paid in 21 equal installments from September - June.
