We are looking for an adventurous passionate and eager to learn Industrial designer with world class design and brand sensibility to join our JBL Design Team in Shenzhen China.

Dive right into our world and bring a fresh perspective on design & innovation. Understand and translate the latest fashion interior and cultural design trends into iconic products and experiences. Learn and take part in the full process of product development from concepts to production and market release.

Our environment is fast-paced and challenging yet very rewarding. Your designs will appear on the markets all around the world will be used by millions of people and youll have a unique chance to collaborate with all functions needed to make this happen design business mechanical and acoustic engineering UI/UX packaging and digital art.

The key to success is to understand the JBL brand take responsibility for your projects work proactively and in a collaborative manner. Were encouraging and promoting innovation out-of-the-box thinking and maturity in approach to design and communication.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct design brainstorming sessions and create concept designs in 2D and 3D formats.
• Prototype designs using in-house and 3rd party resources.
• Develop detailed product design specifications and CMF documents.
• Present the new designs to the design management and product development teams.
• Investigate and propose new fit and finish options and CMF trends.
• Staying up-to-date on industry trends technological advancements and customer needs.
• Brainstorming and working with the global Harman design teams to develop initial design concepts.
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered to the market excellently and with utmost attention to detail and quality.
• Work on innovative and trend-defining product concepts in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary creative teams across the globe.
• Work with design leaders in all phases of the design thinking process from concept to strategictactical and implementation.
• Take a lead role with hands-on responsibilities.

What You Need to Be Succesful

Base requirements:

• 3 years of experience in design (preferably consumer electronics)
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Industrial/Product Design
• Fluent communication in writing and speaking in English

Design-oriented requirements:

• Passion for design and music
• Mature and professional approach to work and communication discipline
• Ability to think and design within brand constraints
• Ability to push the boundaries of brand and design in a meaningful way
• Experience in creating visually engaging design stories and presenting them in English
• Being on board with challenging discussions and unexpected direction changes
• Collaborative working style with ability to take calculated risks and decisions
• Ability to quickly generate visual and physical definition of new products
• Having a quick-learner mindset with a good level of self-motivatio

Technical requirements:

• Excellent 3D/2D software skills: Rhinoceros KeyShot Adobe Creative Suite
• Understanding and experience in creating professional product documentation (3D CMF Design Story)
• Ability to create photorealistic renderings integration shots

What Makes You Eligible

• Willingness to travel 10% of the time
• Willingness to work in an office in Shenzhen
• Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test.
