Job Description

We are a leading provider of integrated building management systems and networking solutions for organizations across multiple industries. The DDC Controls Engineer is responsible for designing and supporting Building Automation System solutions. This includes system design programming documentation and technical support throughout project execution. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review mechanical and electrical plans specifications and customer requirements to inform system design
  • Create comprehensive design packages using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (including wiring diagrams schematics sequences of operation and bill of materials)
  • Develop and configure control system software and databases to meet project specifications
  • Provide technical assistance to field technicians during installation and commissioning
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure system functionality before and during installation

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology Electronics Engineering Mechatronics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4 years of relevant industry experience may substitute for a degree
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. C C Java Python VBA)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred / Advanced Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or Computer Science
  • 3 years of experience designing or programming BAS systems (e.g. Distech Alerton Delta Tridium)
  • Experience with BAS programming (Function Block Ladder Logic or text-based logic)
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD SolidWorks)
  • Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical project documentation
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

  • $95000 - $125000 per year depending on experience certifications and technical proficiency.
