Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bath and North East Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Deputy Team Manager on a 4-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 21.03 - 27.72 per hour
Summary:
To support the Team Manager in leading the Family Support Team ensuring high-quality child protection and court work. The role involves supervising staff managing complex cases and ensuring effective safeguarding practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Team Manager in overseeing child protection and court-related cases.
- Provide supervision guidance and support to social workers.
- Ensure cases are managed in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
- Act as an effective communicator with children families professionals and courts.
- Contribute to team development and service improvement.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues.
- Effective communication skills.
- Management and leadership abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Social Work England (SWE) registration number.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a Basic DBS
