This recruitment aims to fill a Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position with an anticipated duration of up to 2 years. If the position is filled by a King County employee who has successfully completed their initial probation they will be offered the role as a Special Duty Assignment.

About the Role:
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for theadministration and compliance ofthe Capital Architectural/Engineering Work Order program. Striving to keep projects moving forward this role will be essential to support the smaller project needs of WTDs capital program. It will require a high level of customer service attention to detail and resilience in order to support project staff. Responsibilities include supporting procurement efforts contract administration and compliance.

About the Team:
The Budget and Contracts unit within the Finance section is responsible for development coordination and oversight of a $224 million annual operating budget (2025) and a $984 million six-year Capital Improvement Plant (CIP) a procurement & contracts team responsible to ensure effective efficient and timely support to agency procurement and contract administration and a capital finance team responsible for ensuring WTD maximizes opportunities to match projects to funding opportunities.

This position is within WTDs Finance and Administration (F&A) Section which serves the essential role of ensuring that financial resources are in place to fund the Divisions priorities and decision-making is well-informed regarding financial risk optimization trade-offs financial equity and managing WTDs large portfolio of financial activities and processes F&A performs numerous functions including rate-setting budget development and oversight capital finance contracting technology services central service administration accounting audit and compliance payroll utility billing and F&A we value cultivating a culture where you are encouraged to challenge the status quo and offer new ideas while building and maintaining enduring relationships.
