Grant Aviation is an Alaskan regional air carrier serving rural Alaska since 1971. With bases in Bethel Emmonak Dillingham King Salmon Cold Bay Dutch Harbor Kenai and Anchorage Grant Aviation provides scheduled air transport of passengers cargo and mail as well as air ambulance and charter service. Grant Aviation employs approximately 400 people.

POSITION: Stores Clerk
This full-time position works as part of the Grant Aviation maintenance team to ensure that our fleet is safe and runs efficiently. The position performs inventorying shipping and receiving and recordkeeping functions. As a Stores Clerk you will work closely with the Maintenance Parts Manager and team to ensure coordination of parts and other materials in a safe and timely manner. This position is based in Anchorage AK and may occasionally require travel to outlying bases.
Are you interested in:
- Maintaining inventory of spares stock and tools for Company aircraft in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Recordkeeping of spares stock and tools including shelf-life and calibrated tool tracking in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinating with the Manager of Purchasing and Stores in maintaining proper stock levels.
- Preparing outgoing shipments.
- Performing receiving inspections on incoming parts materials or rotables.
- Cross-training for the position of Purchasing Agent Stores Clerk and Expeditor and perform the duties of each position when needed.
You ideally possess:
- Previous experience with parts and shipping/receiving work preferred
- Previous experience in an aviation parts and stores environment preferred
- Current Drivers License (Prefer applicants 25 years of age or older due to insurance requirements)
- Ability to pass a DOT background check with no criminal history or disqualifying offenses in the last ten years to acquire a SIDA badge
- Knowledgeable in utilizing computers to perform typical office tasks such as Microsoft Office maintaining logs inventories and purchasing records.
- Ability to read write and speak fluent English.
- Ability to lift and/or move 70 pounds as well as stand and walk for long periods of time
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
