Job Description

Cognitive Neuroimaging Centre (CoNiC) is stationing state-of-the-art neuroimaging equipment viz. MRI MEG EEG fNIRS TMS and tDCS with the mission of providing neuroimaging solutions to several research projects within NTU and other institutions in Singapore. Since its establishment CoNiC has established a strong collaboration with researchers and hosted more than 50 basic research projects spanning across various disciplines in NTU NIE and LKCMedicine. Being a strategic shared research facility CoNiC is committed to provide high quality service to our stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the integration of 2 shared facilities with various neuroimaging modalities and ensure smooth operations.

  • Handle all matters related to IRB HBRA and PDPA and update the governance structure to ensure compliance.

  • Liaise with regulatory agencies (MOH NEA HSA and Customs) to procure state-of-the-art equipment and obtain required licenses and approval.

  • Perform risk management and handle legal matters and negotiate contracts/agreements with vendors and collaborators

  • Manage Incidental Findings.

  • Manage CoNiCs cashflow and forecasting and handle all tender related matters.

  • Establish staff performance and development goals consistent with strategic plans and supervise the staff members.

  • Establish NTU image databank and strengthen CoNiCs infrastructure by setting up a back-up server with firewalls.

  • Provide administrative oversight and also involve in paradigm development together with the experts.

  • Set up the infant studies and attract the external collaborative projects.

  • Coordinate training workshops and roadshows.

  • Liaise with various stakeholders.

  • Act as a resource person for all new collaborative projects from researchers and industries.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Life Sciences Biology or related fields.

  • Experience in both research and Administration (at least 5 years each).

  • Experience in handling budget and revenue.

  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements ICH-GCP guidelines governing clinical research IRB and IACUC matters.

  • Experience in writing SOPs and RAs.

  • Able to deal with highly confidential and/or sensitive matters with tact and discretion.

  • Working experience with various Schools / stakeholders in local Universities MOH NEA HSA will be advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.

  • Meeting deadlines prioritizing competing demands and maintaining work accuracy in a pressured environment.

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
