The National Sexual Violence and Child protection team (NSVCPT) based at PNHQ in Wellington are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the position of Investigative Support Officer (ISO).

The NSVCPT sits within the National Criminal Investigation Group (NCIG) at PNHQ. We oversee policy practice training and response by Districts to all sexual harm and child protection matters.

We also provide subject matter expert advice and responses to external requests and assist the wider NCIG on all matters relating to investigative excellence.

The successful applicant will have experience in supporting project work analytical skill and be able to work well in a team environment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of projects to increase and enhance NZPs response to sexual harm and child protection matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis and deliver professionally written reports to specified agencies and within Police.
  • Liaise with partner agencies collate and disseminate information.
  • Liaise with Districts in relation to their response to sexual assault and child protection work.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining interagency relationships.
  • Support the workgroup with administrative and logistical functions.

Utu -tau Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $108002 and $114331 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
