Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates assessment initiatives across all student engagement programs and activities to support continuous improvement to programs services and student engagement
- Serves as primary advisor to various student organizations boards and student staff
- Supervises the development implementation and assessment of campus programming (e.g. clubs organizations fraternity and sorority life)
- Oversees the planning and implementation of student programs campus events and traditions and theme awareness programming (e.g. womens history month black history month etc.)
- Directs the universitys work with and risk management for nationally recognized fraternities and sororities
- Supervises co-curricular development of leadership programming
- Oversees the budget process for student organizations
- Provides direction for emergencies that occur during programming and responds promptly to crisis situations
- Oversees the planning implementation and execution of family programs
- Collaborates with staff and other university departments to create transition programs for in-need populations such as first-year first-generation legacy siblings etc.
- Supervises the development of marketing materials for various programs including print material and material for the departments website collaborating with other departments as needed
- Prepares and monitors departmental budget
- Supervises and develops department staff facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities department goals and established university campus and department policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a masters degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in student development student affairs or other related experience
