Job Summary
Demand Mechanical is looking for a skilled and experienced Chiller Service Technician to join our growing team in Nashville TN. We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong background in the commercial HVAC industry specifically with expertise in chiller systems. This role is crucial for ensuring our clients critical cooling systems are operating efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver a team player and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repair on a wide range of commercial and industrial chiller systems including centrifugal screw and reciprocating chillers.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues utilizing schematics blueprints and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct refrigerant recovery charging and leak detection in strict accordance with EPA regulations.
- Complete detailed service reports and work orders accurately documenting work performed parts used and time spent on each job.
- Provide clear and professional communication with clients explaining technical issues and repair options in an understandable manner.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a commercial HVAC or Chiller Service Technician.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification is required.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of chiller system components including compressors evaporators condensers and controls.
- Proven ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS) is a plus.
