*** Traveler must live close enough to the facility to be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in on call. About the Position Position/Specialty: GI/Endoscopy Tech The Endoscopy Technician reports to the Nurse Manager and is responsible for assisting surgeons/gastroenterologists/physicians and other medical staff in preparation and performance of surgical/endoscopy procedures by processing and furnishing sterile and non-sterile supplies equipment and services for the care and treatment of patients. Shift: 5x8s Days 6:30a-3p Weekend REQ: 1-2 call weekends every 6 weeks Is on-call REQ (Y/N): Yes 1-2 days a week (Traveler must live close enough to the facility to be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in on call.) Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 Year of Experience First time travelers accepted: Yes Certs REQ: BLS Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule (Y/N): N/A Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 304 Scrub Color: Hospital Issued Scrubs Charting: Epic/GMED Parking Cost: Downtown parking lots require a parking pass which we distribute at badge pickup. There is no fee to park. Parking lots and garages available. Garages clearance is only for average suv truck. Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
