About the role: We are looking for a BI Engineer with strong experience in IBM Cognos and Microsoft Power BI to join our team in the Banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of BI tools data modeling and reporting best practices with the ability to translate business requirements into insightful data-driven solutions.

Location & Work Setup: The position is based in the Bucharest Office near Grozavesti metro station with a flexible hybrid way of working.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Cognos and Power BI
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements
• Optimize existing BI solutions for performance scalability and usability
• Develop and maintain data models and data visualizations to support business decisions
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports and dashboards
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data reports and performance
• Contribute to data governance and documentation standards

What are we looking for:

• Strong experience working with Cognos BI (Report Studio Query Studio Framework Manager)
• Hands-on experience with Power BI including DAX Power Query and data modeling
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Oracle)
• Solid understanding of BI and data warehousing concepts
• Experience in banking or financial services is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
