The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for the analysis of actuals to ensure integrity of reported figures highlighting trends and identifying causes of unexpected variances. This includes assisting with special financial and business related activities to identify gaps and determine steps to improve financial reporting processes and overall review effectiveness and efficiency.
Main tasks/areas cover the following:
- Financial Data Analysis
- Collect process and interpret financial data from various sources such as financial statements budgets and reports.
- Identify and quantify the potential sources of uncertainty volatility and variability that might affect the financial performance and goals.
- Communicate and present their findings and recommendations to the senior management.
- Risk and opportunity assessment
- Evaluate the risks and opportunities associated with the financial decisions and strategies of the organization.
- Prepare clear concise and convincing reports / dashboards / charts that highlight the key financial data insights and implications.
- Involvement with internal audit procedures / documentation as needed
- Metrics
- Assist in ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the financial data.
- Monitors accuracy of the closing adjustments past reporting timeline.
- Checks with the end-users that a complete follow through is being done for challenges identified.
- Projects
- Participate / drive improvements of financial analysis on actual reported data with primary focus on the financial statements.
- Participate in various regional projects as either project manager or team member particularly those impacting financial reporting data.
Qualifications :
- Solid understanding of accounting principles financial reporting and standards (US GAAP / IFRS)
- Intermediate level in using Microsoft Office tools. (Excel Macros Power BI)
- Familiarity with financial software and tools preferably SAP R3 and/or S4 HANA
- Project Management Skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills / Interpersonal skills
- Adaptability: Being able to adapt in constantly changing environment / multi cultural work set up
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to assess risks and develop financial strategies.
- Good time management and organizational skills
