Job Description
Locum - Interventional Cardiologist in Lincoln NE
Summary: We are seeking a skilled interventional cardiologist to assist with hospital rounds STEMI calls and procedures (including Heart catheterizations and TEEs) at a Specialty Hospital in Lincoln Nebraska. This position spans weekday responsibilities at Nebraska Heart Hospital and weekend duties at both Nebraska Heart Hospital and St. Elizabeths.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct hospital rounds at Nebraska Heart Hospital during weekdays and at NHH and St. Elizabeths on weekends.
- Respond to STEMI calls and manage heart catheterizations with stenting and TEEs.
- Occasionally provide clinic services as needed.
- Coordinate with APP for both day and night coverage to ensure optimal patient care.
- Manage and care for an average census of 15-20 patients per day.
- Perform same-day add-on procedures for inpatients averaging three per day.
- Participate in call responsibilities for General Cardiology and STEMI with an appropriate schedule to manage workload.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology.
- Valid Nebraska Medical License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Clean malpractice history preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of cases effectively.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration with medical staff.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology - Required.
- A valid Nebraska medical license or IMLC with Letter of Qualification in hand.
- Malpractice insurance must be clean and in good standing.
