Job Description
Job Title: Locum OB/GYN - Damariscotta ME
Join a dedicated team at a small critical access hospital that values community care! MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital - Miles Campus is in need of a Locum OB/GYN to provide comprehensive womens health services. With a skilled and tight-knit department youll work alongside OB/GYNs FM/OBs and CNMs to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires coverage for roughly 1-2 weeks each month with opportunities to fill open shifts in 2025.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide quality healthcare services to patients focusing on both obstetrics and gynecology.
- Handle strong GYN skills including endometrial ablation IUD insertion/removal and menopausal management.
- Be on call most days and manage patient visits in the clinic averaging 8-10 visits daily.
- Perform office procedures such as colposcopies and certain biopsies.
- Collaborate with a skilled team that includes CNMs who take first call with OB/GYNs called in for complications.
- Assist in creating care plans and consult on GYN-related issues in a patient-centered environment.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN (REQUIRED)
- Willingness to perform routine GYN exams and procedures (REQUIRED)
- Ability to cover specified dates (REQUIRED)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to providing excellent patient care
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Maine License or Active IMLC preferred
- Board Certification is mandatory
