Job Description

Job Description: Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Join our dedicated team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Portland Maine. Our facility is a leading hospital known for its commitment to patient-centered care and fostering a collaborative environment among its staff. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthesia care for general surgical cases in an adult population.
  • Administer spinal anesthesia and manage ventilation as needed.
  • Collaborate with physician anesthesiologists in a medical direction billing model.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation using the EPIC EMR system.
  • Participate in a high-volume surgical environment with an average of 100 cases per day.
  • Engage in collaborative practices while emphasizing patient safety and comfort.
  • Contribute to a supportive team atmosphere that prides itself on respect and care for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification - REQUIRED
  • Maine State License - highly preferred; candidates needing to obtain a license will be considered.
  • BLS and ACLS certification - REQUIRED; PALS certification is optional.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a level 1 trauma center as a CRNA - REQUIRED (new graduates will not be accepted).
  • Ability to proceed at the hourly rate cap of $280 - REQUIRED.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Board Certification in Nurse Anesthesia.
  • Maine State License (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
