Job Description
UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center is looking for a locums Certified Nurse Midwife for a FULL TIME need!
Schedule:
- Schedule: Hospital - M-F Varies; Office/Clinic - 8a-5p M-F
- Call Schedule: 1 in 3. Clinic days are 3 days per CNM.
- 24-Hour In-house: No
- Call Back Percentage: Weekday - 80%; Weekend - 80%; OB - 80%; GYN - 20%
- Practice Type: OB/GYN
- Percentage of Practice: Low risk pregnancy - 50%; High risk pregnancy - 50%; C-Section - 20%; Office GYN - 35%; Surgical GYN - N/A
- Response Time: 20 min
- Average number of patients per CNM per day: Clinic 10-12
- Average number of deliveries per CNM per week: 6
- Number of staff in the group: OB/GYN - 3; CNM - 3; MFM/Perinatologists - virtual
- OB/GYNS present during locum tenens coverage: YES as 2nd call
- Lab & Ultrasound onsite: YES performed by Tech
- Number of exam rooms: 13
- Office ancillary: RNs support CNM in clinic

- High risk pregnancy Pt. s with toxemia diabetes Class II or higher cardiacs chronic lung problems chronic renal disease etc.
- FHR interpretation NST/CST/FSE
- OB ultrasounds Performance of Interpretation (Level I/screening (viability)
- Labor and Delivery:
- Routine delivery Vaginal low forceps decision-making for C-section
- Complicated delivery C-section breech multiple births abruptions etc.
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Gynecology:
- Office/minor gynecology IUD Cystoscopy colposcopy cryosurgery LEEP etc.
Travel Requirements:
- Must send provider flights and lodging info 4 weeks before start.
- Flights - Up to $750 RT cap
- Lodging - Reimbursed by Receipt - up to $150 total per night cap.
- Car rental - Reimbursed by Receipt - up to an economy car cap.
- Mileage - IRS Standard Rate.
